TOTO USA opened a new three-story, 363,393-square-foot manufacturing facility in Morrow, Georgia on August 22, 2025, at a cost of $224 million. The plant is built on the site of TOTO’s original Morrow facility, which the company first opened in 1996, and adds approximately 161,500 square feet of new manufacturing space. TOTO broke ground in June 2023 and completed construction in November 2024; production at the new building is set to begin in fall 2025. The Morrow plant sustains 420 local jobs.

What it means

The new facility adds approximately 300,000 units of annual production capacity in Morrow alone, bringing TOTO’s combined Americas output — across Morrow, Lakewood, Georgia, and a Mexico plant — to approximately one million units per year. The company said luxury one-piece toilets were previously sourced primarily from TOTO Global Group plants in Asia, and that the new facility is part of a shift of more production from Asia-based plants to North America. The 150% increase in U.S. luxury one-piece toilet production capacity is the direct result of that shift being realized in Morrow.

The facility operates 34 advanced robots and 6 Automated Guided Vehicles, each carrying 3 toilets approximately 44 yards between molding, drying, glazing, and firing stations. The plant also houses a Tank Bonding Robot that TOTO said is a first for any TOTO Group facility worldwide, jointly developed with an equipment manufacturer. Two convection-heated kilns are planned for installation in 2027; TOTO said those kilns are projected to cut CO₂ emissions by approximately 23% compared to current kilns. TOTO USA recorded sales of $464 million for fiscal year 2024, according to the company.
