Resilience and Eli Lilly and Company announced a $750 million expansion of their advanced manufacturing partnership in the Cincinnati region, Ohio. The investment will build new capacity for producing injectable diabetes and obesity treatments, including Lilly’s KwikPen device. Site preparation is currently underway at the West Chester facility, with full operations scheduled to begin in early 2027.
What it means
The expansion adds at least 400 high-skilled jobs to the local workforce, bringing Resilience’s total job creation in Ohio to more than 1,400 across its state facilities. The company currently operates two advanced manufacturing sites in the Cincinnati area that cover nearly 1 million square feet and employ close to 1,000 workers in manufacturing, operations, quality, and regulatory roles.
This investment extends a strategic partnership established in 2023, which has already delivered more than 150 million doses of medicines for U.S. patients in vial and pre-filled syringe formats. Resilience moved its global headquarters from California to Blue Ash, Ohio, and works with JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, and Ohio Life Sciences to support its talent pipeline. Governor Mike DeWine noted that the company exemplifies “Ohio’s emerging leadership in biomanufacturing.” William S. Marth, president and CEO of Resilience, said the firm is proud of what it has built with Lilly as it scales production of complex medicines in the state.
