EFC Gases & Advanced Materials broke ground on a new advanced manufacturing facility in McGregor, Texas, on September 15, 2026. The company announced the start of construction on the 195-acre site, which will produce high-purity materials for semiconductor manufacturing. The project is part of Element Solutions Inc.’s strategy to expand domestic production capabilities following its acquisition of EFC earlier in 2026.
What it means
The new facility aims to increase the supply of critical materials used in chip fabrication, aerospace, lighting, and other industries. EFC selected McGregor for its proximity to existing semiconductor fabs and customers in Texas. The company described the campus as a long-term platform for continued investment.
Element Solutions plans to integrate additional advanced materials and manufacturing capabilities from its portfolio into the McGregor site. The initial phase of operations is projected to create at least 65 full-time jobs. Pavel Perlov, President of EFC Gases & Advanced Materials, said the project establishes a long-term home for the company in Texas.
