Jeff Bezos’ space technology firm Blue Origin announced on October 8 that it will establish Constellation Park, an advanced manufacturing and operations campus in Hutto, Texas. The company plans to occupy roughly 1.3 million square feet of existing industrial park space along Highway 79, situated between Innovation Boulevard and Alliance Boulevard. This facility is designated as a production hub for satellite and communications technology.

What it means

The project involves nearly $555 million in capital investment and is projected to create more than 2,000 jobs. To support the expansion, Blue Origin secured a Texas Enterprise Fund grant exceeding $18 million and a $10,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus. Williamson County, the city of Hutto, and the Hutto Economic Development Corp. also provided incentives, though the specific terms remain confidential until the agreements are executed.

City officials described the deal as one of the most significant economic development achievements in Hutto’s history. Mayor Mike Snyder said, “Hutto is becoming an anchor point on the Hwy. 79 tech corridor.” Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp added, “Texas has long understood what it takes to lead in space exploration.” The company also pledged to partner with Hutto ISD to offer internships and bolster career and technical education initiatives.
