TS Conductor announced March 6, 2025 that it will build its second U.S. manufacturing facility in Jasper County, South Carolina, investing $134 million and creating 462 jobs. The 301,275-square-foot plant will be located at Clarius Park Hardeeville in Hardeeville, S.C., and will be the company’s first operation in the state. TS Conductor currently operates a production facility in Southern California. Operations are expected to begin by the end of 2025.
What it means
The Hardeeville facility will manufacture advanced carbon-core conductors for use in transmission lines, including high-voltage direct current capacity. TS Conductor’s CEO Jason Huang said the plant will allow the company to meet demand from utilities across the Southeast and nationwide, and that its technology modernizes the power grid by providing more capacity while lowering project costs. The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project and awarded Jasper County a $5.11 million Closing Fund grant to cover site preparation and building construction costs.
The new facility represents the first phase of a three-phase expansion plan. TS Conductor said it intends to add an additional one million square feet within Clarius Park Hardeeville in future phases. Jasper County Council Chairman John Kemp described the announcement as the largest jobs announcement in Jasper County’s history.
