Lam Research Corporation held a ribbon-cutting on November 21, 2025, at its campus in Tualatin, Oregon, marking the opening of Building G, a four-story, 120,000-square-foot office building that cost $65 million. The new structure provides up to 700 workspaces for current and future employees. Senior Vice President of Global Products Group Sesha Varadarajan cut the ribbon. Oregon State Senate President Robert Wagner, Washington County Commissioner Pam Treece, Tualatin Mayor Frank Bubenik, and representatives from the offices of Governor Tina Kotek and Congresswoman Andrea Salinas attended.
What it means
Building G expands workspace capacity at what Lam Research described as one of its essential global hubs for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and process development. Varadarajan said the addition provides “critical capacity for our Oregon workforce and accelerating our capabilities to drive innovations that underpin American leadership in an essential global industry.” The Tualatin campus has been the site of product development work including the SABRE® copper plating product, SABRE® 3D, and VECTOR® TEOS 3D.
Lam has operated in Oregon’s Silicon Forest for more than three decades, with locations in Hillsboro, Sherwood, and Tualatin. The company’s Oregon footprint includes two manufacturing sites and one R&D lab. Lam’s Oregon presence traces to the late 1990s, when Novellus Systems Inc. opened an R&D location in Wilsonville; Lam acquired Novellus in 2012. The Fremont, California-headquartered company is a FORTUNE 500 member.
