United opened the Terminal B North Concourse at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston on Oct. 22, 2026. The 765,000-square-foot, three-level facility adds 22 mainline gates and includes a 54,000-square-foot United Club with seating for 800 people and an outdoor terrace. The concourse is part of United’s $2.6 billion Terminal B Transformation Program.
What it means
Terminal B North replaces airport facilities that dated to 1969. Every United flight using the new north concourse will board through a jet bridge.
United will operate 48 gates in Terminal B after the transformation, including 26 gates in Terminal B South. The company said the project raises peak-date customer capacity in 2026 by 40% compared with 2023.
The concourse contains 10 public-art installations, 11 restroom sets, a sensory room and family-oriented amenities. Its restaurant and retail lineup includes B&B Butchers & Restaurant, Rosie Cannonball, Pizaro’s Pizza, Blood Bros. BBQ, Katz Coffee and Blue Bell Creameries.
United said its 2026 Houston schedule has nearly 17 million annual seats, its largest Houston schedule in more than 10 years. The carrier operates more than 500 daily departures from Houston and serves 65 international destinations from IAH, including 57 in Latin America and the Caribbean.
